Irene Emma (Johnson) Wunderlich, 95

Salem, N.H. — Irene Emma. (Johnson) Wunderlich, age 95, of Salem, N.H., passed away Wednesday, September 26 at Merrimack Valley Hospice House, Haverhill. She was born and educated in Lawrence, and graduated from St. Patrick’s High School. She was a resident of Salem for the past two years, formerly of St. Petersburg, Fla. and Methuen. Irene was a supervisor in the Mortgage Department of the First Essex Bank in Lawrence, where she retired in 1980. She was a member of St. Patrick’s Church and the ladies auxiliary of the VFW Post 1549 in Lawrence. She was a member of the Mother of Twins Club and was a former Den Mother. Irene volunteered at St. Anthony’s Hospital in St. Petersburg, Fla., for over 20 years. She enjoyed sewing, boating, and summers at Lake Winnipesaukee and Ossipee, N.H.

She was predeceased by her husband, Edward Wunderlich, Jr. She is survived by her sons, Edward “Eddie” III and his wife Karen Wunderlich of Sandown, N.H., Henry “Hank” and his wife Donna Wunderlich of Danville, N.H. and Frostproof, Fla., William “Bill” Wunderlich and his wife, Nancy Weiser of Cottonwood, Utah; twin daughters, Barbara and her husband Douglas Bunker of Methuen, Irene and her husband Moustafa Nour of Salem, N.H.; brother, Donald Johnson of Goffstown, N.H.; sister-in-law, Doryce Wunderlich of Methuen; seven grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

ARRANGEMENTS: A celebration of life Mass will be held Saturday, Oct. 6 at 11 a.m. at St. Patrick’s Church, Lawrence. There are no calling hours. Interment is private and to be held at a later date. Douglas & Johnson Funeral Home, 214 Main St., Salem, NH has care of the arrangements. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Merrimack Valley Hospice House, 360 North Ave, Haverhill, MA 01832. Andover, MA — Jonathan G. Leonard of Andover passed away suddenly on Tuesday, May 21, at the age of 39. He was the loving son of Dr. Thomas and Lois Leonard of Andover; and beloved brother to Russell Leonard, Dr. Jeffrey Leonard, and Suzanne Vazquez; brother in-law to Dr. Angel Gangoy-Leonard and Osvaldo Vazquez; and proud uncle of Dylan and Matthew Leonard, and Oliver, Samuel, and Amelia Vazquez. He was employed at Stop and Shop where he had been a loyal employee for over 10 years. He was very active in the Special Olympics and he won numerous medals and trophies in different events through the years. He was also involved in several local bowling leagues and enjoyed spending his free time with his girlfriend, Tina, and his large group of friends from the area.

Reading, formerly of Lawrence — Helen D. (DeFusco) Rickley of Reading, formerly of Lawrence, passed away peacefully at the age of 90 on Saturday, May 18, 2013. Helen was predeceased by her parents, Pasqualina (Miele) and Alexander, and her sister, Evelyn. Helen had a beauty of character and personality that was noticed by everyone she met. She devoted her life to raising and loving her family. She also devoted a good part of her life to her parish church and the elementary school children of Reading at Pearl Street and Killam Schools. She served as a volunteer teacher’s aide at the two schools for almost 30 years. She served at St. Athanasius in the old Arts and Crafts group and sang in the church choir for almost 35 years.

Atkinson, NH — Charliene P. Moore died May 16, 2013, in Pleasant Valley, N.H., after a long illness from cancer. She was born in Cambridge, Mass., on Aug. 16, 1945, daughter of the late Pearl and Charles Moore. She grew up in Everett, Mass., and graduated from Malden High. Charliene worked at the IRS for 20 years and for Securitas Services where her security assignments included stints at Sweetheart Plastics, Hewlitt Packard and Global Insights. She fought a long, hard battle with cancer and through it all loved her co-workers and friends. Charliene is survived by her longtime companion, Linda McAdams of Atkinson, N.H., and “Mac,” her furry little friend.
