Florence Fleischer, 84


Andover — Mrs. Florence Fleischer, 84, of Andover, beloved wife of the late Edwin J. Fleischer, passed away at home surrounded by her family on June 29, 2013.

Born in Jersey City, N.J., she was the daughter of the late Alexander and Alice Serafinski. She was raised and educated in Kearny, N.J., and was a graduate of Kearny High School.

She was employed for 22 years at the Internal Revenue Service in Andover and retired as a secretary to the branch chief. She was a member of Christ Church in Andover and volunteered for several years at the Andover Thrift Shop.

Florence is survived by her two sons, Edwin J. Fleischer, Jr. and his wife, Valerie, of Ashburn, Va., Mark A. Fleischer and his wife, Lauren, of Methuen; her grandchildren, Mark and Grace; her sister, Ann Bonseck of New Jersey; several nieces and nephews; and the sister of her heart, Dorothea Fleischer Luke of New Jersey.

ARRANGEMENTS: Family and friends are invited to call on Friday, July 5, 2013, from 4 to 8 p.m. at Conte Funeral Home, 28 Florence St., Andover, MA 01810. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 6, 2013, at 11 a.m. at Christ Church, 33 Central St., Andover. Burial will be in the West Parish Cemetery, Andover, Mass.
