North Andover, MA — Edward Keisling, Jr., 90, of North Andover, MA, passed away on Tuesday, February 4, 2014. Edward was born in Lawrence, MA, to Genevieve (Doherty) and Edward Keisling. He attended Central Catholic High School and after graduating served in the U.S. Army in Germany during WWII. Upon his return from the war he married his wife, Bernice (Coppola) Keisling and attended Boston University where he obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration.
Edward and Bernice moved to North Andover where they raised their five children. He was a communicant at Saint Michael’s Church where he was a member of the Holy Name Society and the Knights of Columbus, and served as a Eucharistic minister. Edward was a transportation salesman for several companies including Adley, Hemingway and Overnight Express. Edward enjoyed cruising and vacationing with his wife in Florida during the winter months. He loved freshwater fishing and was a Patriot fan and an avid lifelong Red Sox fan. Edward’s biggest pride was his family and he took great joy in taking part in the activities and talents of his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. We will all miss Edward’s wit and great sense of humor.
Edward is survived by his children, Edward Keisling and his wife, Estelita, of Fort Myers, FL, Stephen Keisling and his wife, Jo-Ann, of Salisbury, MA, Barbara Selima and her husband, Walter, of Andover, MA, and John Keisling and his wife, Karen, of East Hampstead, NH. He is also survived by his beloved 12 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Edward was predeceased by his wife, Bernice, and his daughter, Mary Margaret.
ARRANGEMENTS: Family and friends may call on Saturday, Feb. 8, from 2 to 5 p.m. at the Conte Funeral Home, 17 Third St., North Andover, MA 01845. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Monday, Feb. 10, at St. Michael Church with a burial to follow in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, both in North Andover. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 474 Pleasant St., Watertown, MA 02472 or to the American Diabetes Association, 330 Congress St., Suite 501, Boston, MA 02210.
