Lawrence, MA — Jane I. (Lesynski) Wila, 91, of Lawrence passed away Thursday, April 11, 2013, at her home surrounded by family. She was born in Lawrence and was the daughter of the late John and Mary (Skiba) Lesynski and also the widow of Adam J. Wila who passed away in 1984. Jane was a life-long resident of Lawrence and a graduate of Lawrence High School, Class of 1940.
She worked for Macartney's Fine Clothing as a sales clerk in the men's department for many years. Also, she was a proud and active member, including organist and choir director, of the Immaculate Conception Polish National Catholic Church in Lawrence. Her other past-times included, quilting and gardening. She was a devoted, supportive, caring and loving person to her family and will be greatly missed.
Jane is survived by her children, Katherine Hinchcliffe, of Natick, Thomas Wila, of West Palm Beach, Fla., and Walter Wila, of Lawrence. She also leaves her four grandchildren, Audrey, Elizabeth, Erica and Michael, daughter-in-law Maribel, and great grandchildren, Aaralyn and Noah. Jane was predeceased by her brothers Walter Clifton, and Stanley Lesyns.
ARRANGEMENTS: Relatives and friends are invited to gather for her funeral Mass on Friday, April 19, 2013, at 10 a.m. in St. Casmir’s Church, 268 Lakeview Ave., Lowell, Mass. Interment will follow at the Polish National Catholic Cemetery Methuen.
