Methuen — Michelena B. (Borrelli) Pollano, 99, of Methuen, died Saturday, April 20, 2013, at the Nevins Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Methuen. She was the beloved wife of the late Mario Pollano.
Michelena, daughter of the late John and Louise (Ciprano) Borrelli, was born in Methuen on December 12, 1913. She graduated from Lawrence High School and was employed as a seamstress with the William Barry Corporation in Lawrence for many years until her retirement. In her free time, she loved spending time with her brothers and sisters, as well as her many nieces and nephews.
Michelena will be deeply missed by her sister, Mary Irene Calabrese, of Lawrence; her brother, John Borrelli, of Methuen; and her sister-in-law, Frances Borrelli, of Lawrence. She was predeceased by five sisters, Philomena Borrelli, Josephine Borrelli, Anna Borrelli, Emma Uliano, and Lillian Cianci; and four brothers, Alfred, Arthur, Albert, and Frankie Borrelli.
ARRANGEMENTS: Family and friends will honor and celebrate Michelena’s life by gathering for visiting hours in the Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home, 233 Lawrence St., Methuen on Wednesday from 10 to 11 a.m. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday at 11 a.m. Burial will follow in St. Mary Immaculate Conception Cemetery in Lawrence.
