Hudson, NH — Lillian Maciel Sweezey, 92, of Hudson, N.H., passed away unexpectedly Sunday, April 21, at her home.
Born in Methuen on August 28, 1920, to Thomas and Lottie Parker, Lillian was educated in the Lawrence School system. She would later go on to work for Western Electric until her retirement in 1975.
Lillian was involved with several fraternal organizations including The Degree of Poccahontas, of which she served as a past Great Poccahontas, as well as the Salem Derry Elks.
Lillian is survived by her three daughters, Ginni Meehan of Stratham, N.H., Nancy Bennett of Methuen, Mass., and Barbara Hamilton of Hudson, N.H., with whom she resided. She also leaves behind her sister, Ruth Wilson of California, as well as 15 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild.
Lillian was predeceased by her husbands, Edward Sweezey and Tony Maciel, and grandsons, Richard Bennett Jr., and Michael J. Bradley Jr.
ARRANGEMENTS: Friends and loved ones are invited to call on Wednesday, April 24, 2013, from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Charles Dewhirst Funeral Home, 80 Broadway, Methuen, MA. Funeral services will follow at 4 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. A private burial will be held at a later date.
