Yvonne D. (Dubois) Arakelian


Groveland — Yvonne D. (Dubois) Arakelian, 67, of Groveland, passed away Monday, April 22, at Mass General Hospital in Boston after a long and courageous battle with illness.

She was born in Lawrence, November 13, 1945, daughter of the late Elphege and Ida (Levesque) Dubois.

Mrs. Arakelian was educated in the former St. Anne’s Grammar and High School.

For over 20 years she was employed at the former Western Electric and, until her retirement in 2008, was employed as an office manager for Groveland Municipal Light Dept. for over 20 years. She cherished time spent with her family, especially her two grandsons who brought her so much joy, and shopping with her daughter Stacy. She also enjoyed word search puzzles, listening to music, and traveling with her husband.

Her survivors include her husband, with whom she just celebrated her 44th anniversary, William Arakelian of Groveland; two daughters, Kimberly and her husband, Arthur Buckholz of Manchester, N.H., and Stacy and her husband, John Ristuccia of Bradford; five sisters, her twin, Yvette McKinney of North Andover, Anna Dubois of Groveland, Sr. Alice Dubois of Sherbrook, Quebec, Canada, Blanche Levesque of Windham, N.H., and Cecile Wholley of Methuen; a brother, Roland Dubois of Florida; two grandchildren, Andrew and Colby Buckholz; and numerous nieces and nephews. She is also preceded by her brothers, Aime Dubois of Sacramento, Calif., and George Dubois of New Hampshire; and sister, Rita Dubois of Haverhill, Mass. Mrs. Arakelian was also the grandmother of the late Brooke Buckholz.

ARRANGEMENTS: Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to her Funeral on Friday morning, April 26, at 10 a.m. from the H.L. Farmer & Sons Bradford Funeral Home, 210 So. Main St., Bradford, followed by a Funeral Mass at 11 a.m. in St. John The Baptist Church, Lincoln Avenue, Haverhill. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery, Groveland.
