Andrew Angus, 93


Amesbury, MA — Andrew M. Angus, 93, passed away Saturday, November 30, 2013, at Amesbury Village in Amesbury, Mass.

He was born in Bo’Ness Scotlan, on Decmber 11, 1919, and was the son of the late John and Jane (Guthrie) Angus. Mr. Angus served in the U.S. Coast Guard during WWII. He and his late wife, Emily (Lappnau) Angus, met in Gloucester, Mass., while he was serving in the Coast Guard, and moved to Methuen, Mass., where they raised their family. Mr. Angus had been employed for many years with Bolta Products, a division of General Tire in Lawrence, Mass., until his retirement in 1981.

Mr. Angus is survived by two daughters, Theresa Baumann and Emily Murphy; three sons, Scott Angus, David Angus and his wife, Carol, and Rick Angus and his wife, Lori; six grandchildren, Chris Cecco, Carol Porter, Sherry Baumann, Griffin Angus, Connor Angus, and Ryan Murphy; and two great-grandchildren, Courtney and Brittany Stinger. He was the brother of the late David Angus, William Angus and Jean Lough.

The family of Mr. Angus wishes to express to the staff of Amesbury Village their gratitude for the care he received and the kindness and respect they showed him. We will be forever grateful to them.

ARRANGEMENTS: Memorial services will be held in the spring. Arrangements are being handled by E.V. Jutras & Sons Funeral Home, Amesbury.
