Haverhill — S. Michael Grandmont, 43, a lifelong resident of Haverhill, died Thursday, November 15, 2012 at the Merrimack Valley Hospital.
He was born, Sheldon Michael Grandmont on January 12, 1969, son of the late Clifford “Red” and Eileen (Rand) Grandmont. He attended Haverhill Public Schools and was a Graduate of Haverhill High School, Class of 1987.
Throughout his working career, Michael was employed with various contractors in the area. A talented carpenter, he worked as a roofer, a painter, and spent winters plowing snow. He cherished time spent with his wife, Carlene, his family and friends and his dog “Ozzie”. He enjoyed riding motorcycles and snowmobiling.
He leave his beloved wife of thirteen years, Carlene M. (Windle) Grandmont, his mother and father in law; Paul and Susan Windle, of Seabrook Beach, NH; three brothers, Clifford J. Grandmont and his wife, Tara; Joseph L. Grandmont; and James M. Grandmont and his partner, Amanda Bayliss, all of Haverhill; two sisters; Deborah J. Shakley and her husband Owen; Patricia E. McComiskey and her husband, James, also of Haverhill, numerous nieces and nephews, several great nieces and nephews, and sister and brother in law, Jennifer and Ryan Miller, of Danville, NH. He was predeceased by his sister, Mary Rose Morse.
ARRANGEMENTS: Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to call on Monday, from 5 until 8 PM at the Kevin B. Comeau Funeral Home, 486 Main St. (Rte 125) Haverhill. Funeral services will begin on Tuesday morning at 9 AM from the funeral home with a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 10:00 AM in St. James Church, Winter St. Haverhill. Burial will follow in St. Patrick’s Cemetery, North Broadway, Haverhill.
