Doris Dupee, 71

Palm Beach Gardens, FL — Doris C. Dupee, 71, of Palm Beach Gardens, died Thursday, June 20, 2013, at the Gerstenberg Hospice Center, surrounded by her loving family.

Born and raised in Lawrence, Mass.,she was the daughter of Angeline (Doucette) Chagnon and the late Arthur E. Chagnon Sr. She graduated from St. Anne’s High School in Lawrence and Johnson & Wales College in Providence. She was an accountant and business manager for various radio and television stations before retiring in 2011.

A resident of Palm Beach Gardens since 1997, Doris enjoyed reading, puzzles, bowling, old movies, and the Boston Red Sox, often attending spring training games in Florida and regular season games at Fenway.

She is survived by her husband of 49 years, George Dupee; two daughters and sons-in-law, Debi D. and Bill Hall of Palm Beach Gardens, and Judith D. and Brian Schweickart of Columbus, Ohio; one son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Zana Dupee, of Gainesville, Fla.; her mother, Angeline (Doucette) Chagnon of Salem, N.H.; six grandchildren, Zadia Dupee, Jessica Schweickart, Ryan Hall, Spencer Dupee, Gary Schweickart, and Charlie Dupee; brothers and sisters-in-law, Francis and Brenda Chagnon of Salem, Raymond Chagnon of Sandown, Peter Chagnon of Salem, Paul and Lorraine Chagnon of Williamsburg, Va., and Joseph and Doreen Chagnon of Sandown, and Evelyn M. (Michaud) Chagnon of East Kingston, N.H.; and sisters, Cecile Chagnon of Lawrence, and Mary Chagnon of Kingston. She was predeceased by a brother, Arthur E. Chagnon Jr., of East Kingston, N.H.

ARRANGEMENTS: A memorial service will held on Wednesday, June 26, 2013, at 8 a.m., at the Juno State Park Pier, 14775 U.S. Highway 1, Juno Beach, Fla. A Celebration of Life will be held in Salem, N.H., on September 1, 2013, with the time and location to be announced.
