Lawrence — Roland J. "Chuck" Berube, 78, a resident of Lawrence, died at the Wingate at Haverhill, on Sunday, April 20, 2014.
He was born in Lawrence, Mass. He attended St. Patrick's Grammar School and graduated from Central Catholic High School, Class of 1953. He enlisted in the United States Air Force and became a Radio Operator. He then married his high school sweetheart, and began raising a family. He worked as a maintenance manager and transportation manager for Raytheon for 35 years. He also enjoyed coaching his son and loved family vacations to Cape Cod.
He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Carole (Mercier) Berube; son, Charles Berube and his wife, Jackie, of Methuen; daughter, Robin MacLean and her husband, Kevin, of Derry, N.H.; and daughter, Leslie Buresh and her husband, Bill, of Salem, N.H.; nine grandchildren; and three great-grand children. He is also survived by his sister, Carmel Munroe of Hull, Mass.; and many nieces and nephews.
ARRANGEMENTS: Friends are invited to attend a funeral Mass on Friday, April 25, at 11 a.m., at Our Lady of Good Counsel Parish, St. Theresa Church, 22 Plymouth Street, Methuen, Mass. A burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, Lawrence. Family and friends may call on Thursday, April 24, from 4 to 8 p.m., at the John Breen Memorial Funeral Home Inc., 122 Amesbury Street, Lawrence, Mass.
