Lawrence — Gelsomina “Jessie” (DiPierro) DiSalvo, 93, of Lawrence, passed away on Monday, April 21, at Nevins Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Methuen. She was born in Lawrence, and was the daughter of the late Angelo and Justina (Crocco) DiPierro.
Mrs. DiSalvo was raised and educated in Lawrence. She worked at various salon shops for many years. She also worked for the former Zayre’s in South Lawrence, and retired in 1986. She was a parishioner of First Calvary Baptisit Church in North Andover, and a former member of the Sergeant Club in Lawrence. She was also a member of various bowling leagues, poker clubs and an avid bingo player.
Mrs. DiSlavo was predeceased by her beloved husband, Angelo DiSlavo; and her siblings, Mary Cable, Phyllis Marquis, and Viola Barton.
She is survived by her brother, Daniel DiPierro and his wife, Marilyn, of Newport News, Va.; and her nieces and nephews, Alice Cable and Gloria Bourassa and her husband, Kenneth, all of Methuen, James, Shelley and Michael DiPierro of Virginia; her grand-nieces, Tina Quick and Jennifer Beland; and other grand-nieces and grand-nephews.
ARRANGEMENTS: Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend visiting hours on Thursday, April 24, from 2 to 5 p.m., at the Cataudella Funeral Home, 126 Pleasant Valley St., Methuen. Funeral services will be held Friday, April 25, at 9 a.m., in the funeral home chapel. Interment will be in Bellevue Cemetery, Lawrence. Memorial donations may be made in her memory to First Calvary Baptist Church Building Fund, 586 Mass Ave., North Andover, MA 01845.
