Methuen — Ruben Ehramjian, 83, of Methuen died on Saturday January 5, 2013 at Blaire House of Tewksbury. Mr. Ehramjian was born in Lawrence and was raised in Methuen. He was a graduate of Edward F. Searles High School. He served with The US Army during The Korean Conflict and before his retirement, he worked as a computer programmer at GTE/Sylvania, Danvers, MA. Ruben was a member of The Armenian Apostolic Church at Hye Pointe, Haverhill. He was a very active member of The church Men’s club. While raising his children, he was active with The Methuen High School Band Parents and was very active with the PTA. Ruben was an avid wood worker and photographer.
The widower of Janine M. (Gosselin) Ehramjian, his family members include his daughter, Karen P. Ehramjian of Haverhill and his sons, Carl R. and his wife, Diane Ehramjian of Milford, MA. and Eric D. Ehramjian of Weslaco, Texas. He leaves his grandchildren, Daniel C. Ehramjian, Janine M. Ehramjian and Julia M. Ehramjian and his sisters, Katherine Meranian of Methuen and Margaret and her husband, Rev, Fr. Tateos Abdalian of PA. He also leaves several nieces and nephews and beloved in-laws and extended family. He was pre-deceased by his sisters, Agnes Margossian and Azard Ehramjian and his brother, Paul Meranian, Jr.
ARRANGEMENTS: Calling hours will be on Thursday January 10, 2013 from 4 to 8 pm at The Charles F. Dewhirst Funeral Home, 80 Broadway, Methuen. The Rite of Burial will be on Friday January 11 at 11:00 am in The Armenian Apostolic Church at Hye Pointe located at St Gregory The Illuminator Church, 110 Main Street, Haverhill, MA .Memorial contributions may be made to The Armenian Apostolic Church at Hye Pointe, PO Box 8069, Ward Hill, MA. 01835.
