Bertha E. Manock Loud, 85

Methuen — Bertha E. (Auger)(Manock) Loud, 85, of Methuen, passed away Tuesday, January 15, 2013 at Mary Immaculate Nursing and Restorative Center with her family by her side.

Born November 2, 1927, to Lucien and Margaret (Grosse) Auger. She attended St. Mary’s School in Lawrence, and retired from General Electric in Wilmington. She was predeceased by her husband, Robert W. Loud. She was a member of St. Clare League of Catholic Women, and was also a member of Our Lady of Good Counsel Parish in Methuen, where she also played 45’s with the Rainbow Club.

She leaves her children, Arthur R. Manock of Epping N.H., Elaine (Manock)Fortier and her husband. Craig, Barbara A. Manock, Paul P. Manock all of Methuen; step-children, Ann and Gerry Duggan of Wilmington, and Robert Loud of North Reading. She also leaves her beloved sister and brother-in-law, Beatrice and Robert Cassidy of Haverhill, and their children, Arthur and Gary Mell. She was especially loved by her grandchildren with whom she had a special relationship, Jeremy Eastman, Peter and Tommy Bastian, Artie and Gregory Manock, and Jacqueline and Jessica Manock. She also leaves great-grandchildren Amanda Eastman and Alanna Montgomery. She will be missed by all whose lives she touched.

ARRANGEMENTS: Memorials can be made to Merrimack Valley Hospice House, 360 North Ave, Haverhill, MA 01830 or to Mary Immaculate Nursing and Restorative Center, 172 Lawrence St. Lawrence, MA 01843. Visiting hours for family and friends will be held on Thursday from 5 – 8 p.m., at the Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home, Inc., 233 Lawrence Street, Methuen. A funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday at 11 a.m. in Our Lady of Good Counsel Parish/St. Theresa’s Church in Methuen, with burial to follow in St. Mary’s Immaculate Conception Cemetery in Lawrence.
