Uxbridge, Mass. — Sergeant First Class, Michael J. Squillaci, Army National Guard, Active, 50, of Uxbridge died unexpectedly Wednesday, January 16, 2013. He was the husband of Donna Jean E. (Myrick) Squillaci.

Sergeant First Class Squillaci had served over 30 years in the U.S. Army, which included two combat tours overseas and many commendations and citations.

He was born in Germany in 1962 the son of the late Daniel Squillaci and Rita (Junklas) Turner of Maryland and was raised in Baltimore. He had been a resident of Uxbridge since 1993 and had previously lived in Douglas. He was a member of the VFW Post #1385 in Uxbridge and loved his Harley-Davidson motorcycle which he rode, along with his wife, throughout New England.

In addition to his wife Donna Jean of 24 year,s and his mothe,r Rita, he is survived by a son, Michael J. Squillaci, Jr. of N.C.; a daughter, Danielle E. Vient of Nantucket; a brother, Tony Squillaci of Maryland; two sisters, Betty Huntzberry of Marylane and Jeannie Holm of Pennsylvania; and nieces and nephews.

ARRANGEMENTS: Funeral services, with full military honors, will be held Thursday, January 24, 2013 at 10 a.m. in the Buma funeral Home, 101 N. Main St., Rte. 122, Uxbridge. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Granite St., Uxbridge. Following the services at the cemetery, all are cordially invited to return to the Uxbridge VFW Post #1385, 13 Cross St., Uxbridge for a time of fellowship and refreshment. Visiting hours will be Wednesday, January 23, from 3–8 p.m. in the funeral home.

Boxford — Parmelia "Pat" Stoughton Willard de Winter passed away June 15, at Brigham and Women’s Hospital after a short illness. Born in Hartford, Conn., on November 23, 1932, she was the daughter of the late Howard A. Willard and Virginia McCray Miller Willard. Pat, or Patsy as she was known then, was raised in Wethersfield and West Hartford. She was predeceased by her twin brother, Palmer Southworth Willard, her youngest brother William Leslie Willard and her older brother, John Bleveny Willard.

Atkinson, NH — Peter T. Giuvelis, 89, of Atkinson, N.H., passed away on Monday, June 17, at Salemhaven, in Salem, N.H. He was born in Lowell on September 15, 1923, to the late Theodore and Virginia (Melonas) Tzouvelis. Peter was raised and educated in Haverhill, graduating from Haverhill High School. Upon graduating, he served in the U.S. Army during WW II. After serving in the military, Peter co-owned and worked as a technician for Guvelis Bros., located on Emerson St. in Haverhill. In retirement, Peter served as school crossing guard at Walnut Square School in Haverhill.

Her surviving family members include her loving children, Lisa O'Keefe and husband, Christopher of Raymond, N.H., Jennifer Pardoen and husband, David of Methuen, Mass.; and grandchildren, Abbey and Zoe, Pardoen and Zachary and Madison Laliberte. She leaves behind brothers, Luis Perrino and wife, Linda of Peabody, Mass., and Earle Perrino of New Hampshire. Debby also leaves behind several nieces and nephews.

Groveland, MA — Irene (Belanger) Golden, 86, of Groveland, formerly of Lawrence and North Andover, passed away peacefully Saturday, June 15, at the Merrimack Valley Hospice House in Haverhill. Born in Lawrence, she was the daughter of the late Emile and Leda (Matton) Belanger, and was one of nine children. Irene was a graduate of the former McIntosh Business School in Lawrence, and later was employed by the Textile Workers Union CIO for 10 years, prior to staying home to raise her family. Upon returning to the business world, she was employed as the administrative assistant to the president of the former Arlington Trust Company in Lawrence. She retired in 1987, after 26 years of service, and spent her later years making quilts for her family, friends and homeless shelters.
