Methuen, MA — Nasib Habib Ramy, 63, of Methuen, MA, passed away suddenly in his home.
Nasib, lovingly known as Jido to his 12 grandchildren, was born in Terbol, Lebanon. He left his war-torn homeland in 1976 to raise his family in Lawrence, MA. He lived a life devoted to family and faith. He was a doting grandfather, an encouraging father, and a steadfast husband caring for his sick wife of 43 years. He enjoyed time spent with his friends at the Lebanese American Club. His life was a constant celebration of family and friendship. He brought sunshine and laughter everywhere he went with his wit and humor. He insisted on a life lived with integrity, strength, and faith. He had an unyielding optimism, and passion for life. He will be painfully missed by those who knew him.
Nasib is survived by his five children, Andre Ramy and his wife Micheline, Magi Swenson and her husband Eric, Miray Ramy and her husband Roberto, Vivian Haydar and her husband Chad, Libnan Ramy and his wife Rebecca; his 12 grandchildren Mariam, Roberto, Amanda, Isabella, Nicholas, Lucas, Rachel, Angelica, Louie, Mathew, Samantha, and Clarice; his 6 siblings, Abdallah Ramy, Nazli Sarkis, Daad Cherabie, Moses Ramy, Laya Ramy, and Hafeeza Younes, his nieces and nephews; and the rest of his relatives and friends.
Nasib is preceded in death by his parents, Habib and Matilda Ramy; as well as his siblings Nicola, Akil, and Marie Ramy.
ARRANGEMENTS: Visiting hours will be held from 4:00 to 8:00 PM on Feb. 13, at Farrah Funeral Home on 133 Lawrence St. The funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on February 14 at St. Anthony’s Maronite Church on 145 Amesbury St. Lawrence. Burial will be in the spring.
