North Port, Fla., formerly of Lawrence and Andover — James E Broadhurst, age 82, a resident of North Port, Fla. died, January 29, 2013 after a short illness. Born in Lawrence, he lived in Lawrence and then Andover with his late wife, Jackie (Donnelly).
A graduate of Lawrence High School, Jim joined the Navy where he spent four years on a ship in Virginia. Jim returned home to work at Binghams Metal Fabrication and Avco as well as second jobs with the Parker Tavern and the Wonder Bar. He was a member of the North Port AM Vets and Moose.
He is survived by his son, Jim (Ted) Broadhurst and wife, Kim of Salem N.H.; son Lamont Rogers and wife, Beth of Haverhill; daughter, Alana (Rogers) Daley and husband, Jim of Kingston N.H.; eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; sister, Joan Yokley of Pahrump Nev.; brother, Robert (Clark) Broadhurst of Salem N.H.; brother, Arthur Broadhurst and his wife, Virginia (Burgess) of Salisbury and numerous nieces and nephews.
ARRANGEMENTS: Memorial services for Jim will be held on Saturday, February 16, from 12 to 2 p.m. at the Cataudella Funeral Home, 126 Pleasant Valley St, Methuen. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to join the family following the services at the Knights of Columbus Hall Council 4442, 37 Main St. Salem N.H.
