Mary L. Ciampa

Tewksbury — Mary L. (Torchi) Ciampa, 83, of Tewksbury, formerly of Wilmington, passed away peacefully on Saturday morning, April 27, 2013 at her daughter’s home in Bradford.

Mrs. Ciampa was born on November 27, 1929 in Somerville, daughter of the late John and Pierina (Castano) Torchi of Italy. Mary was raised in Cambridge, and attended Cambridge Schools.

Loving wife of the late Lawrence A. Ciampa who passed in January of 1993.

After marriage, they lived in Cambridge for many years and began to raise their family. They moved to Wilmington in the 1970’s and lived there together until Lawrence’s passing. Mary then lived in Tewksbury where she formed many great friendships over the years. She lived independently right through this past year until staying with her daughter and son in-law in Bradford to be cared for.

Her interests included cooking, most of all sharing time with family. Mrs. Ciampa was a very religious woman being an active parishioner of St. Williams Church in Tewksbury, and recently attending Sacred Hearts Parish, Bradford.

Her surviving family members include her cherished children, Donna Razey and her husband Stephen of Bradford and Denise Paisley and her husband John of York, ME; grandchildren, Marisa Turillo and her husband Jay, Matthew Razey and his wife Sarah, Adam Paisley and Emma Paisley; great-granddaughter, Sophia Turillo; brother, Domenic Torchi of Lexington; many nieces and nephews; grandmother of the late Nicole Razey; sister of the late John Torchi.

ARRANGEMENTS: Funeral Services will be held, Wednesday morning, May 1, 2013, beginning in the Driscoll Funeral Home, 309 So. Main Street (Rte. 125), Bradford at 9:00 AM. Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Sacred Hearts Church, 165 So. Main Street, Bradford at 10:00 AM. Interment will follow in Elmwood Cemetery, Salem Street, Bradford. Visiting hours will be held Tuesday in the Driscoll Funeral Home from 3:00 to 7:00 PM.
