Formerly of Andover, MA — Elizabeth Cahoon-Jackson, 77, passed away Wednesday, March 6, 2013, at her home in Buena Vista, Colo. She was born October 19, 1935, in Winchester, Mass., to Myrtle and Benjamin Cahoon, Jr. She was raised in Ridgewood, N.J., and North Andover, Mass.
Her first teaching assignment was in Los Angeles teaching seventh grade, and over her 38-year career, she taught classes from grades 4 to 12 in schools all over the United States and Germany.
In Andover, she was a guidance counselor at East Junior High School in the 1960s and 1970s, and taught at Shawsheen, Bancroft and West Elementary schools.
Elizabeth is survived by her niece, Wendy Prugh of Holliston, Mass.; nephews, Duane E. Prugh Jr., and his wife, Melanie, of Methuen, Mass., and their children, Ashley of Methuen, Mass., Geoffrey of Quincy, Mass.; and Douglas Prugh and his wife, Jennifer, and their children, Allison and Zachary, of West Redding, Conn.; and her many friends, both old and new.
