Yarmouthport, MA — Blanche "Bianca" L. (Falanga) Consoli, 96, of Yarmouthport died Monday May 6, 2013, at Rosewood Manor in Harwich, after a short illness.
She was the beloved wife of the late Rosario “Cy” L. Consoli who died in 1994. They owned and operated Consoli’s Dairy Queen on River Street in Haverhill for 40 years.
Born, raised and educated in Lawrence, Bianca was the daughter of the late Frank and Christina (Zappala) Falanga. She graduated from Lawrence High School and Concord Memorial Hospital School of Nursing in Claremont, N.H.
Bianca enjoyed being a registered nurse, doing private duty at the Phillips House at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston, and she was head of nursing at Holy Family Hospital in Methuen.
Spending most of her life in the greater Lawrence area, specifically in Methuen and North Andover, Bianca finally settled in Cummaquid in 1993. She was very active with the Friends of the Cape Museum of Fine Arts in Dennis, and she was a Docent for the Historic Society of Old Yarmouth. In 2008, Bianca moved to Thirwood Place in South Yarmouth where she was very active and made many friends.
She enjoyed traveling, cooking, gardening, and was an avid reader.
Bianca is survived by two daughters, Maria C. Ianzito and her husband, Dr. Benjamin of Yarmouthport, and Cynthia G. Windle and her husband, Terrence of Sutton; three grandchildren, Christina M. Ianzito and her husband, Dante J. Chinni of Washington, D.C., Cynthia J. Conigliaro and her husband, Gregory of Southboro, and Christopher T. Windle and his wife, Kellie of Sutton; five great grandchildren, Mia and Dante Chinni, Ava and Luca Conigliaro, and Sophia Windle; and two nephews, Robert Coletta of Methuen and Theodore Coletta of Haverhill. In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by a brother, Bruno Falanga; and two sisters, Mary Coletta and Carmella Falanga.
