Los Altos, CA — Thomas A. McIntosh, 55, formerly of Plaistow, N.H., passed away Friday evening, July 19, 2013, in Los Altos, Calif., after a long illness.
Tom was born September 16, 1957, in Caribou, Maine. He spent his early childhood years in the Bangor, Maine, area and spent many years in New Hampshire and Florida. Most recently he resided in Menlo Park, Calif., where he worked as the Head of Maintenance for the TechShop, a position he was incredibly proud of. Tom spent his career in the building industry where he became very skilled in the carpentry, masonry, plumbing and electrical trades. Always friendly and eager to help those in need, Tom made friends everywhere he went and from of all walks of life.
He is survived by his daughters, Lisa McIntosh and Heidi McIntosh of Lewiston, Maine; his son, Justin Fisher of Goose Creek, S.C.; his brothers, Merle McIntosh of Redwood City, Calif., and Chris McIntosh of Sandown, N.H.; and several grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ann McIntosh of Plaistow, N.H., and Merle McIntosh Sr. of Natick, Mass., and his sister, Lori Noble of Bangor, Maine.
ARRANGEMENTS: Communications and details are forthcoming for a memorial service to be held in southern New Hampshire in the near future.
