Jeanne was born on April 12, 1925, in Grand Isle, Maine, where she attended Lincoln Elementary and High School. She then entered the work force until she joined the Congregation of the Sister Servants of the Immaculate Heart of Mary, also known as the Good Shepherd Sisters of Quebec, in Biddeford in February 1945.
