Methuen — Pauline E. (Carignan) Buote, 80, of Methuen, died peacefully Tuesday, March 5, 2013 at Merrimack Valley Hospice House in Haverhill.
Pauline, daughter of the late, Philippe L. and Alice (Laroche) Carignan, was born in Lawrence and lived here all of her life. Her beloved husband, Joseph G. Buote, died in 1997.
Pauline graduated from Lawrence High School and was a secretary at Greater Lawrence Vocational Technical School prior to her retirement. She enjoyed playing Bingo and taking part in Saturday evening card games with her family. She enjoyed reading, especially mysteries, and watching game shows. She was a former Girl Scout Leader and a parent supporter of athletics and a former lector at Sacred Heart Church in Lawrence.
She will be deeply missed by her children, Deborah A. Warnick and her husband, Matthew of Tampa, Fla., Paula J. Gagnon and her husband, Albert of Methuen, Pamela M. Buote of Bradford and Daniel J. Buote and his wife, Lynda of Methuen; one brother, Francis Carignan of Methuen; and one sister, Venetta Cook of Methuen; seven grandchildren, Jamie Warnick, Alyssa Warnick, Nicole Gagnon, Lauren Gagnon, Jenna Gagnon, Nick Buote and Brady Buote and several nieces and nephews.
ARRANGEMENTS: Family and friends are planning to honor and celebrate Pauline’s life by gathering for visiting hours in the Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home, 233 Lawrence St., Methuen on Friday, March 8, 2013 from 4-8 p.m. Her funeral mass will be celebrated in Our Lady of Good Counsel/ St. Theresa’s Church on Saturday, March 9, 2013 at 12:30 p.m. Burial will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Andover.
