Derry, N.H. — Maureen A. (O’Connor) Chapman, age 71, of Derry, N.H., died Wednesday at the Community Hospice House, Merrimack, N.H. She was born in Somerville, Mass., grew up and was educated in Belmont, Mass. She was a resident of Derry for the past 24 years, formerly of Haverhill. Maureen was a social worker for the State of Massachusetts in Haverhill. She enjoyed traveling and loved doing crafts.
She was predeceased by her son David Bennett. She is survived by her husband, Woody Chapman of Derry; children, Darlene Sampson of Derry, John and his wife, Carey Bennett of Seffner, Fla., and Paul Bennett of Burlington, Iowa; stepchildren, Kathy and her husband, Peter Robinson of Derry, Bob and his wife, Sue Chapman of Windham, Beth Chapman and her husband, Mohamed of Burlington, Conn., David and his wife, Kate Chapman of Pelham, N.H., Gary and his wife, Laurie Chapman of Colchester, Conn., and Glenn and his wife, Toni Chapman of Seabrook, N.H.; sister, Peggy Lyons of Belmont; 17 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
ARRANGEMENTS: Funeral services will be held Monday, March 11 at 10:30 a.m. at the Douglas & Johnson Funeral Home, 214 Main St, Salem, N.H. Burial will follow in Cemetery on the Plain, Windham. Calling hours will be Sunday, March 10 from 2-6 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Community Hospice House 210 Naticook Rd, Merrimack, NH 03054.
