Cheryl Christian-Silvis

Belmont and Cape Cod, MA — Cheryl Christian-Silvis of Belmont and Cape Cod, Mass., passed away peacefully at Blaire House on July 23 with her family by her side. Cheryl was born on May 20, 1950, in Lawrence, Mass., to Robert and Jean Christian. She graduated from Lawrence High School, received a BS from Boston University and an accounting degree from Bentley College. She went on to become a certified public accountant, one of only two women in the state specializing in health care. She was director of the Massachusetts rate setting commission for Blue Cross Blue Shied for two years and then furthered her career by joining the accounting firm of Ernst and Whinney. Cheryl's passion for travel took her throughout Europe, Asia, and Australia.

She was predeceased by her father and is survived by her devoted mother, Jean Chengerian-Christia; her dearly loved husband, George Silvis Jr.; and her two beloved children, daughter, Melanie Silvis, who is currently in South Africa on a research project, son George Silvis III, in his senior year at Boston University; her brother, Mark Christian and his wife, Gayle Christian; nephews, Stephen and Michael Christian; her aunts, Claire Megrian and Elaine St.Onge; and several cousins.

ARRANGEMENTS: There will be no calling hours and a memorial service will be announced at a later date.
