Dracut, MA — Catherine Vallera, 78, died unexpectedly, on Wednesday, November 27, at her home.
Catherine was born in Lowell on December 20, 1934, and was a daughter of the late Catherine T. (Palloto) and Pacifico Vallera. She received her education in the Dracut School System and was a graduate of Dracut High School.
She was employed for many years, until her retirement, as a secretary for Hanscom Field in Bedford, Mass.
Catherine was a talented crafter, who enjoyed making and distributing her creations to her loved ones, and liked taking long walks.
She is survived by her siblings, Patrick Vallera and his wife, Gloria, of Methuen, and Margaret Metz and her husband, James, of Las Vegas; as well an many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her siblings, Anna Louise Sibiga and Philip Vallera.
ARRANGEMENTS: Relatives and friends are invited to pay their respects on Thursday, December 5, from 9 to 10:15 a.m., at the Dracut Funeral Home. Her funeral Mass will follow at 11 a.m., in St. Mary Magdalen Church, 95 Lakeview Avenue, Tyngsboro, with interment in Elmwood Cemetery, Methuen.
