Haverhill, MA — Eleanor F. (Levesque) Boucher, 79, of Haverhill, died on Thursday, December 5, 2013, at the Anna Jaques Hospital in Newburyport, Mass..
Born, raised and educated in Haverhill, she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Elsie (Marceau) Levesque. She she attended local schools.
Mrs. Boucher worked for AT&T in food services, and also operated a dog grooming service with her late husband, Donald. She was a member of St. James Parish and the Italian Serenaders. Known to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, whom she loved babysitting, as “Nana Boo,” she was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She enjoyed working in her yard and gardening. She loved traveling with her family and also enjoyed family times at Province Lake and the beach.
She was predeceased by her husband, Donald E. Boucher, and is survived by her two sons, Paul E. Boucher of Haverhill, and Peter D. Boucher and his wife, Marcy, of East Kingston, N.H.; her daughters and sons-in-law, Deborah A. and Daniel Dastoli of Salisbury Beach, and Catherine F. and Ronald Nickerson of Atkinson, N.H.; her brother, Rene Levesque of Tewksbury; her sisters, Dorothy Levesque of West Peabody, and Elsie “Bunny” Royer of Port St. Louis, Fla., and Carol Pennick of Edenton, N.C.; 10 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her brother, Arthur P. “Cookie” Levesque, whom she raised from the age of five.
ARRANGEMENTS: Relatives and friends may call on Monday, December 9, from 3 to 7 p.m., at Brookside Chapel & Funeral Home, 116 Main Street, Route 121A, Plaistow, N.H. Her funeral service will begin on Tuesday, at 9 a.m., from the funeral home, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m., at St. James Church, Haverhill. Burial will follow in Maplewood Cemetery.
