Andover — Sally Pahigian, 95, of Andover passed away peacefully Thursday May 23, 2013, at Academy Manor Nursing Center. Sally was born in Lawrence and was the daughter of the late Lazarus and Arshalous (DerBogosian) Pahigian. Sally was educated in Lawrence schools and was a graduate of Lawrence High School Class of 1936.
Sally was employed for over 50 years as the office manager with West St. Motors, and later with McAndrew Pontiac, both formerly in Lawrence. Sally was very active in the Quota Club and was the driving force behind starting a club in Lawrence, and was past president. She also went on to become president of Quota Club International. Sally served her former church, Holy Cross Armenian Apostolic Church, as a member of the Parish Council. She would also play the piano or organ for various services and events. Sally was most recently a parishioner of the Armenian Apostolic Church at Hye Pointe.
Sally is survived by her nephew, Larry Pahigian and his wife, Alice, of No. Andover; her niece, Carol Bazarian and her husband, Charles, of No. Andover; her great nieces and nephews, Cary Pahigian and his wife, Barbara, of Scarborough, Maine, Beth Richards and her husband, John, of Exeter, N.H., Pamela Pahigian of No. Andover, Lisa Gardner and her husband, Anthony, of Northborough, Mass., and Michelle Beeny and her husband, Jeff, of Andover; and several great-great nieces and nephews. Sally was predeceased by her brother, Ashod Pahigian.
ARRANGEMENTS: Relatives and friends are invited to visiting hours on Tuesday May 28, 2013, from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m., at the Armenian Apostolic Church of Hye Pointe, 110 Main St., Haverhill, MA, with her funeral service to immediately following at 11 a.m. Interment will follow at Bellevue Cemetery.
