Waltham, MA — Bernadette Mula, 94, of Waltham, passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 19, 2014, at the Meadow Green Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Waltham.
Born on April 5, 1920, in Boston, she was the daughter of the late Philip and Jennie (Ingeneri) Alibrandi. Bernadette was raised in Belmont, and after her marriage, lived most of her life in Waltham.
Bernadette as employed with Little Brown Publishing Co. for many years.
She cherished her family, especially her grandchildren, and enjoyed traveling around the world. She loved Las Vegas, Aruba and Italy. She liked bowling, playing bingo, and had an artistic side and would do all types of arts and crafts, ceramics.
She was the beloved wife of the late Carl Mula.
She is survived by her loving and devoted daughters, Bernadette “Bunny” Doherty of North Andover, and Jeanne Proia of Waltham; her cherished grandchildren, Adam, Andrew and Alex Proia, and Kristen Ringler, Elizabeth Doherty Kelley and Meghan Doherty; and her great-grandchildren, Kalista and Kieren Ringler. In addition, she is survived by many nieces and nephews.
She was the dear sister of the late Susan, Joseph and Anthony Alibrandi.
ARRANGEMENTS: Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend a funeral service in Celebration of Bernadette’s Life in the Chapel of the Brasco & Sons Memorial, 773 Moody St., Waltham, on Wednesday, at 11 a.m. Interment will follow in Newton Cemetery. Visiting hours will be held prior to the service, from 9 to 11 a.m. Parking attendants will be on duty.
