Haverhill — Richard A. Bagley, 79, of Haverhill, died peacefully with his family by his side on July 3, 2014, in Lowell. He was self-employed as the owner of Carleton Drywall & Construction Co. since 1956.
He proudly served in the military as an Army cook from 1957 to 1959, and was honorably discharged.
He enjoyed cooking, walking, renovating, and reading history and novels.
He is survived by his wife, Claire R. (Foley) Bagley; and children, Richard J Bagley, Lisa K. Bagley, and Sheila J. (Bagley) Puma; son-in-law, Paul Puma; grandchildren, Ryan, Shea and Gracie; niece, Cynthia Smart; and several other nieces and nephews. He will be sadly missed by family and friends, Mike E. and Brian B., both of Haverhill.
ARRANGEMENTS: There are no public calling hours. A funeral Mass will be celebrated Wednesday, July 9, at 11 a.m., in Saint Leo's Church, 128 Main Street, Leominster, Mass., with burial to follow in Saint James Cemetery, Primrose Street, Haverhill, at 1:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Dana Faber Cancer Institute, Attn: Contributions Services, 6th Fl., 10 Brookline Place West, Brookline, MA 02445.
