Methuen — Irene D. [DeForest] Desroche, 90, of Methuen died on Friday, March 15, 2013 at The Nevins Nursing Centre, Methuen.
Mrs. Desroche was born, raised and educated in Lawrence and has lived in Lawrence and Methuen all of her life. She was a member of Our Lady of Good Counsel Parish at St. Theresa Church, Methuen. Before retirement, Irene worked at Western Electric Company, N. Andover. She was active with The Methuen Senior Center. Irene loved doing ceramics, Japanese Bunka, cooking and sewing. She, especially, loved being with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
The widow of Alfred Desroche, and predeceased by her daughter, Dierdre Boeske, her family members include her son, Joseph and his wife, Debbie Desroche of Methuen; her daughter, Lori and her husband, Glen Brown of Methuen. She also leaves her grandchildren, Angel, Erik, Amy, Jarrod and his wife, Ashleigh and Courtney; her great grandchildren, Colin, Kaitlin, Ryan, Addy and Ally; and several nieces and nephews.
ARRANGEMENTS: There are no calling hours. Family and friends are respectfully invited to attend a memorial Mass on Monday, March 25, at11 a.m. in Our Lady of Good Counsel Parish at St. Theresa Church, 22 Plymouth Street, Methuen.
