Methuen — Mary E. (Farris) Kissinger, 89, of Methuen, passed away Monday, April 29, 2013, at the Merrimack Valley Hospice in Haverhill. She was born in Lawrence and was the daughter of the late Tufic D. and Hada (Peter) Farris.
Mrs. Kissinger was raised and educated in Methuen. She was a graduate of Searles High School and McIntosh Business School. She worked at Lawrence City Hall under the Buckley Administration in the Treasury, Assessors, and Veteran Administration Offices.
She loved music and dancing and was the founder of “Alive by Five,” which were dances held on Tuesday evenings throughout the Merrimack Valley area.
Mrs. Kissinger was predeceased by her siblings, Barbara (Farris) Lattini, Elias Farris and George Farris.
She is survived by her loving son, Kevin G. Kissinger of Methuen; her daughter, Cheryl (Kissinger) Lombard and her husband, Michael, of Lowell; her loving sister, Dorothy Farris–Hoyes of Billerica; and her beloved grandson, Eric A. Kissinger of Methuen. She also leaves several nieces and nephews.
ARRANGEMENTS: Her funeral services will be celebrated on her birthday Friday, May 3, 2013. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend visiting hours from 9 to 10:30 a.m. at the Cataudella Funeral Home 126 Pleasant Valley St., Methuen. Her funeral service will follow at 11 a.m. at St. Anthony’s Maronite Church, 145 Amesbury St., Lawrence. Interment will be in St. Anthony’s Cemetery, Lawrence.
