Margaret P. (Nigohosian) Wawszkiewicz, 83

Lawrence, MA — Margaret P. (Nigohosian) Wawszkiewicz, 83, of Lawrence, died peacefully, Thursday, May 2, 2013, at the Prescott House in North Andover.

The daughter of the late Tookman and Maritza (Khachadourian) Nigoghosian, Margaret was born in Lawrence on August 8, 1929. She was educated in Lawrence schools. Margaret was a graduate of Lawrence High School, Class of 1947, and the McIntosh School of Business in Lawrence. For a time, she was employed in the Marum Knitting Mills in Lawrence. Later, for many years, she was employed as a Teacher's Aide in the Lawrence Public School System, mainly at the Frost School, until her retirement. She was known as "Mrs. W" by her students.

She enjoyed going to the theatre and taking day-trips with her husband. She also enjoyed music, arts and crafts, ceramics, and excelled as a cook. She was an avid and well-known bowler. She was a lifelong Lawrence resident and attended the Lawrence Senior Center. She was a devout member of the Catholic Church, currently attending Corpus Christi Parish in Lawrence. Margaret was devoted to her husband and children.

The family wishes to thank the staff of the Prescott House and Life Choice Hospice for all their compassionate care and support.

Margaret is survived by her devoted husband of 48 years, Eugene J. Wawszkiewicz of Lawrence; her three daughters and their husbands, Judith A. and Colan Hanson of Goffstown, N.H., Susan J. and Nicholas Rizzo of North Andover, and Mary Ann and Matthew Cloutier of Newton, N.H.; a grandson, John Joseph Cloutier of Newton, N.H.; a brother and his wife, Zaven and Arleen Nigohosian of Lawrence; and several nieces and nephews.

ARRANGEMENTS: A Funeral Mass will be held Wednesday, May 8, 2013, at 10 a.m. in Holy Rosary Church-Corpus Christi Parish, Essex St., Lawrence. Burial will follow in the Polish National Cemetery in Methuen. Relatives and friends may call Tuesday, May 7, 2013, from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Boles Memorial-Baron-McAuliffe-Yameen Funeral Home, 184 Jackson Street, Lawrence, MA 01841 (978-686-0386).
