Rochester, NH — David Norman Raymond, 60, passed away on Sunday, May 5, 2013, at the Hyder Family Hospice House.
David was Born in Haverhill, Mass., the son of retired Haverhill Police Officer Norman E. and Yvonne Y. (Fleury) Raymond.
He was proud to have been raised in the Acre section of the city and lived his life by virtue of good principle. His proudest accomplishment in his life was his employment in the 1970s, working for the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Massachusetts State Police Department of Public Safety in their fingerprint Identification departments.
Having retired due to heart complications at an early age from Mason + Rich P.A. Accounting Firm, David enjoyed enriching his mind and his world through reading, scrapbooking, and when he was able to, traveling. Historic hotels and National Parks were his favorites, as well as his spending summers up at Shore Hills Campground in Boothbay, Maine. To David, this always brought a sense of peace and tranquility to his challenged life.
He is survived by his three brothers, Donald and his wife, Lisa of Danville, N.H., Steven and his wife, Mary Ellen of Hampstead, N.H., and Michael and his wife, Shirley of Haverhill, Mass. He is survived by six neices and nephews, Lisa, Shawn, Steven, Jennifer, Lisa and Brittany. He is survived by his partner in life.
He was predeceased by his mother, Yvonne Y. (Fleury) Raymond.
ARRANGEMENTS: As per his wishes, there will be no calling hours. Graveside services will be held at Pine Hill Cemetery in Dover, N.H. Cremation will be handled by Oyster River Crematory, Purdy Memorial Chapel, of Lee, N.H.
