Haverhill — Thomas D. Whitman, 56, of Haverhill died Sunday, Feb. 10, at Baker Katz Nursing Home in Haverhill.
He was born in Haverhill, November 26, 1956, son of the late Howard and Nancy (Kenney) Whitman.
Educated in the Haverhill school system, Tom graduated from Whittier Tech., where he studied upholstery.
He served in the Navy for two years.
A sports enthusiast, Woody played on several area softball teams.
His survivors include a son, Justin Whitman; four sisters, Deborah Richie and her husband, Joe, of Revere, Eileen Beaupre-Simpson of Haverhill, Sherry L. Abbott of Haverhill, and Julie Whitman of Haverhill; an aunt, Linda and her husband, Bob McCulough, of Florida; an uncle, Ralph Williams of Lawrence; and several nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.
ARRANGEMENTS: Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend his Memorial Service on Tuesday afternoon, May 21, at 1 p.m. at the H.L. Farmer & Sons Funeral Home, 106 Summer St., Haverhill. Burial will be in Linwood Cemetery, Haverhill. A visitation period will precede the Memorial Service on Tuesday from noon to 1 p.m. at the Funeral Home. Arrangements are by the H.L.
