Methuen, MA — Henry S. Salach II, 62, of Methuen, Mass., passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 18, 2013, from a six-month battle of cancer at Merrimack Valley Hospice House in Haverhill.
The son of the late Henry Steven Salach and Julia Eastwood-Salach, both from Methuen, Mass., Henry was born in Lawrence on January 23, 1951. He was a graduate of Greater Lawrence Technical High School in Andover. Henry was employed as a truck driver for Falk and White, and later as a supervisor with Eastern Bag and Paper. Henry was an avid fan of the Red Sox, Patriots and the Celtics. His enthusiasm and booming laughter could be heard while watching sports, playing cards and going to the beach with family.
Henry is survived by his loving wife, Helen Salach of Methuen, Mass. Henry is lovingly remembered and survived by his children; Keith Salach, Eric Salach and his fiance, Nancy Parchuke, Henry Salach III and his wife, Jacqui Salach, Marya Santos and her husband, Rafael Santos; his siblings, David Salach and his wife, Mary Salach, Karen Palermo and her husband, Ronald Palermo, and Christine Salach; his step-children, Michael Barbosa and his wife, Emily, Brian Julian and his wife, Judy; his eight grandchildren, Angelina, Anthony, Carlo, Henry IV, Logan, Makayla, Sophia and Vincent; and nieces and nephews, Ron, Leah, Candice, Rocco and Niko.
ARRANGEMENTS: A Funeral Service will be held Thursday, May 23, 2013, at 10 a.m. at the Boles Memorial-Baron-McAuliffe-Yameen Funeral Home, 184 Jackson Street, Lawrence, MA 01841, 978-686-0386. Burial will follow in the Elmwood Cemetery, Methuen. Relatives and friends may call Wednesday, May 22, 2013, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
