Doris Klimauskas

Haverhill — Doris (Gideika) Klimauskas, 94, passed away on October 6, 2012, peacefully in the home that her father built, surrounded by her loving family. Doris was the wife of the late Witold Klimauskas.

Born in Lynn, MA on May 8, 1918, Mrs. Klimauskas was the daughter of the late Anthony and Petruse (Pilsucki) Gideika.

Doris graduated from Haverhill High School, Class of 1938, and continued her education graduating from Mansfield Academy Hairdressing School of Boston in 1939. She worked for various salons, was a homemaker and later worked as a waitress at Valles Restaurant in Andover for seventeen years before retiring in 1985. Doris was an avid gardener and was happiest among her roses and tomatoes. Her children, grand children and great grandchildren were the joy of her life. She was a longtime member of St. James Parish.

Doris is survived by her loving children, Maureen (McDermott) Dixon and husband Lance of Naples, FL, formerly of Windham, NH, Wayne R. Klimauskas and his wife Maryellen of Effingham, NH, Jeanne Gordon of Hooksett, NH; seven grandchildren; ten great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Stanley Gideika of Lynn, MA.

ARRANGEMENTS: Relatives and friends are invited to the service on Wednesday at 9:00 am at Dole, Childs & Shaw Funeral Home, 148 Main Street, Haverhill, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am at St. James Church. Calling hours Tuesday 4:00 to 7:00 pm at the funeral home. Interment at the Lithuanian National Cemetery in Methuen.
