GEORGETOWN — Thomas M. "Bud” Henry, 62, of Georgetown died Saturday at the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers.
Thomas was born in Salem, Massachusetts, on February 22, 1950, to the late Joseph and Honor (Burke) Henry.
He was employed as a Systems Analyst at MITRE Corp.
Thomas was past president and tournament director for Essex County Youth Soccer as well as having served as president and soccer commissioner for the Georgetown Athletic Association. He also served as a Girls Youth Soccer coach in Georgetown for twenty three years and as a FIFA soccer referee for twenty years. He enjoyed volunteering each year as a referee at the Massachusetts Special Olympics soccer tournaments.
He is survived by his wife Sally (Muse) Henry of Georgetown, his two daughters, Kelly Geiser and her husband Jeffrey of Buffalo, N.Y., Alison Relick and her husband Stephen of Latrobe, Pa., and his son, David Henry of Somerville. Also among Thomas’ survivors are his two sisters, Maureen Walden and her husband Kenneth of Farmington, N.H., and Honor Ford and her husband Harry of Henrietta, N.Y., and his brother, Patrick Henry and his wife Kimberly of Beverly. He is also survived by his four grandchildren, Conor Henry, Jaelyn Henry, Claire Geiser and Evan Geiser as well as several nieces and nephews.
ARRANGEMENTS: A funeral Mass will be offered on Thursday, October 11, at 10 a.m. at St. Mary’s Church in Georgetown. Burial will follow in Harmony Cemetery also in Georgetown.
Family and friends may call on Wednesday from 4-8 p.m. at the Merton E. Roberts Jr. and Conte Funeral Home, 14 Pleasant Street, Georgetown.
