Kelley P. Shoopman, 43

Kingston, N.H. — Kelley P. (Beal) Shoopman, 43, of Kingston N.H., passed away October 7, at Exeter Hospital following a brief illness. Kelley was born in Youngstown, Ohio on March 26, 1969 to Richard and Maureen Beal of Haverhill. She graduated from North Andover High School in 1987 and went on to get her nursing degree from Boston College. She was the fourth generation of nurses which made her grandmother exceptionally proud. She was highly qualified and extremely caring in her profession. Kelley’s daughter, Brianna, is following in her footsteps to become a nurse.

Following graduation, Kelley was commissioned a 2nd lieutenant at the US Army Medical Facility in Denver, did her extensive pediatric training in Hawaii where she met and married her husband Darrell in 1994. Later she worked for Children’s Hospital in Boston, Shriver Nursing Services in Shrewsbury, and more recently at Kindred Hospital as a night supervisor in Peabody.

Most all who knew her, loved her, and enjoyed her sense of humor. She had a great smile and usually enjoyed life to the fullest but especially, loved and loved to tease her family, especially her younger sons, Shayne and Zach, and enjoyed spending time with them, and the newest member, a four legged guy named Draco. The very best of times were when the two older siblings arrived, the big brother who said he was in charge, and “the only girl”, Nana who suffered greatly.

In addition to her husband, Darrell, Kelley is survived by four children, Lance Cpl. Corey J. Shoopman USMC, Brianna, Shayne and Zachary; her parents Richard and

Maureen Beal; her brother and sister, Brian and Erin Beal; her paternal grandmother Arlene Beal of Ashtabula, Ohio, and a number of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and countless friends.

Kelley was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Paul and Margaret Carrigan of New Castle, Pa.; her paternal grandfather, Richard Beal of Ashtabula, Ohio; her uncle, Guy Battaglia of Carnegie, Pa., who carried her newborn picture with him throughout Vietnam; her aunt, Connie Arnold (also of Ashtabula, Ohio) and her brother-in-law James Wright of Flint, Mich.
