Hampton, NH — Robert Kenneth Clark, age 71, of Hampton, New Hampshire, former longtime Merrimac resident, died peacefully at his home in Hampton, with his loving family by his side.
Born in Amesbury, April 8, 1942, he was one of three children of the late Clifford K. and Grace L. (Clark) Clark. After graduating from high school, Bob proudly served with the United States Navy during the Vietnam War, from August 31, 1960 until his honorable discharge on August 13, 1964. After the discharge from the military, he was a longtime proud member and officer of the Merrimac American Legion Stanley F. Wood Post #134.
For thirty years he worked for the K-Mart Corporation, retiring as a Department Manager and lived many years enjoying the Florida Sun. He was well known in Kingston, NH for the love of his boat, and his great passion for fishing.
In addition to his beloved wife of 45 years, Donna H. (Berry) Clark, he is survived by his sister, Sallie Nazarian of Bradford; his brother, Roger Clark and wife, Jeannette, of Kingston, NH; his aunts, Joyce Clark of Merrimac, MA, Janet Workman Clark of Plaistow, NH, Ruth Clark of Hudson, NH; his Aunt and Uncle Loretta and Paul Renda of Bradford, MA; along with numerous nieces and nephews and their families. He will be fondly remembered as a devoted husband, loving son, caring brother and “the greatest uncle ever.”
ARRANGEMENTS: Visiting hours will be held Sunday, December 1, 2013, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Paul C. Rogers & Sons Family Funeral Home, 36 West Main Street, Merrimac. A memorial service will be held Thursday, December 5, 2013, at 10:30 a.m. at the Merrimacport United Methodist Church, followed by interment in Locust Grove Cemetery, Merrimac. Pastor Gwyneth Arrison will preside. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Merrimac American Legion, P.O. Box 4, Merrimac, MA 01860.
