James T. Long, R.N., 60

Winter Haven, Florida — James T. Long, R.N., passed away at his home in Winter Haven, FL. on September 24, 2012 after a long and courageous battle with Pancreatic Cancer.

Jim was born on September 12, 1952 in Lawrence, MA. He graduated from University of Lowell and Northern Essex Community College receiving his R.N.

Jim worked as a nurse in long term care in Massachusetts before moving to Florida in 1999. In Florida he worked in long term care as well as home health and physician office management.

He was a long time member of United Riverside Congregational Church in Lawrence where he sang with the choir. Jim was well known in the Lawrence area for his wonderful voice and used it to raise money for many area charities.

Jim is survived by his twin brother, Thomas of Winter Haven FL and his sister Linda Wetmore and her husband Ken of Davenport FL, as well as several Aunts, Uncles and cousins.

ARRANGEMENTS: Friends are invited to attend a memorial service at United Riverside Congregational Church 290 Water Street, Lawrence MA at 12:00 Noon on Saturday October 20, 2012.
