Haverhill — Linda E. (Sorenson) Currier, 66, of Haverhill died Friday October 19, 2012 at St. Elizabeth’s Hospital, Boston, surrounded by her family.
She was born in Dorchester, April 13, 1946, daughter of Myron Sorenson of Plaistow, NH and the late Mary E. (Comeau) Sorenson.
Linda was educated in the Plaistow school system, graduated from Haverhill High School, class of 1964, and attended Northern Essex Community College.
For the past 15 years she was employed at Staples, Plaistow, NH. Prior to this she worked at Honeywell, Waltham, and at the family store, Sorenson’s Ice Cream, Plaistow. Linda cherished time spent with her grandchildren and enjoyed crossword puzzles, jigsaw puzzles, cross stitching, and volunteering with her son at Groveland Meals on Wheels.
Besides her father her survivors include a son, Andrew Currier and his wife Jenna of Haverhill, a sister, Bobbie Kirlis and her husband Chris of Plaistow, NH, four grandchildren, Emma, Madison, Justin and Debbie, her former husband David Currier of Haverhill, a niece, Tina Pomon, a nephew, Nick Kirlis, and two dear friends, Sheila Codding-Fitzgerald of Plaistow, NH, and Linda Bellerose of Kingston, NH. Linda was also the aunt of the late Mike Kirlis.
ARRANGEMENTS: Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the funeral service on Tuesday morning, Oct. 23rd, at 9:30 at the H.L. Farmer & Sons Funeral Home, 106 Summer St., Haverhill. Burial will be in Plaistow Cemetery, Plaistow, NH.
