Srpoohe "Sip" Yaghmoorian, 85

Andover — Srpoohe “Sip” (Damboorajian) Yaghmoorian age 85, died peacefully at her home in Andover with her family by her side on Tuesday October 23. She was the wife of the late Malcolm H. Yaghmoorian of Andover. Sip battled cancer successfully for 23 years and was a daily inspiration to her friends and family.

Born and raised in Fitchburg, she attended Fitchburg Public Schools and graduated in 1945. She won many swimming awards as a child and teen. After graduation, Sip worked as a telephone operato,r for AT&T, until her marriage. In 1953 at a dance in Lowell she met her future husband Malcolm. The couple married and resided in Andover.

She is survived by three sons, Robert M and his wife Mary of Andover, grandchildren, Ryan, Daniel, and Timothy; son, David H. of Lawrence; and son, Martin C of Andover; brother, Avidis (Moe) Motian of Fitchburg, and a nephew Marc Damboorajian. She was predeceased by her brother Zeroon (Zet) Damboorajian of Leominster.

ARRANGEMENTS: Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend her Funeral Service on Saturday, October 27 at 11 a.m. in the Conte Funeral Home, 28 Florence Street, Andover. Interment will follow in West Parish Cemetery, Andover. Visitation will be held prior to her service from 10 to 11 in the funeral home.
