Salem, N.H. — Carol Ann (McDonald) Vandecasteele, 75, passed away peacefully with dignity and grace, surrounded by her family on October 25, 2012 at Rockingham County Nursing Home. Carol, born in Lawrence and a graduate of Lawrence High School was a life long resident of Salem, N.H. Carol was a retired loyal employee of the Gillette Company and part owner of CES Auto Repair in Salem, N.H.
Carol, the widower of Edmund Vandecasteele, Jr., leaves behind their children, Lisa Hopkins and her husband John of Williamsburg, Va., Susan Vandecasteele, Charles Vandecasteele, Krista Bergman and her husband Paul of Salem, N.H. and Edmund Vandecasteele III and his wife Dawn of Edgewater, Fla.; a sister, Maureen Polizotti; and brother, Philip McDonald. Carol leaves 11 grandchildren and was predeceased by her grandson, Edmund Vandecasteele IV, also predeceased by sister, Kathleen Laorenza. Carol leaves behind several neices and nephews.
