Groveland — Camilla (McLaughlin) Roix, 75, of Groveland, died Thursday evening at the Merrimack Valley Hospice House, Haverhill.
She was born in Fort Fairfield, ME, September 21, 1938, daughter of the late George and Beulah S. (Curry) McLaughlin.
Educated in the Limestone, ME, school system, Mrs. Roix graduated from Limestone High School, class of 1956.
She moved to Groveland in 1961 and was employed for over 30 years as a CAN at Penacook Place Nursing Home from where she retired. Prior to this she worked in the same capacity for the former Haverhill Manor. She adored senior citizens and caring for them.
Mrs. Roix enjoyed knitting, reading, cooking and dancing.
She was the wife of the late Nelson A. Roix and grandmother of the late Troy Roix.
Her survivors include three daughters, Rhonda Doherty and her husband, Peter, of No. Andover, Mary Lou Roix of Newburyport, Diana Roix of Herndon, VA; three sons, Shaun P. Roix of Groveland, Kenneth L. Roix of Ft. Lauderdale, FL, Kevin N. Roix of Phoenix, AZ; a sister, Christina Latham of Mt. Vernon, ME; two brothers, Louis R.H. McLaughlin of Eddington, ME, Lloyd G. McLaughlin of Ft. Fairfield, ME; five grandchildren, Tamara and Alyssa Doherty, Lucas and Ryan McCallion, Kylee Roix; three great-grandchildren, Nolan, Ansly and Hayden McCallion; and several nieces and nephews.
ARRANGEMENTS: Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend her calling hours on Sunday afternoon, April 6, from 2:30 to 5 p.m. at the H.L. Farmer & Sons Funeral Home, 106 Summer St., Haverhill. Funeral services and burial will be private in the spring in Limestone, ME.
