Liesolette (Beil) Jablonski


Haverhill — Lieselotte “Lilo” (Beil) Jablonski, 85, died on Friday October 5 at Hannah Duston Long Term Healthcare Center, Haverhill. She lived for many years in the Belvidere section of Lowell and more recently in Haverhill.

She was born in Germany on February 21, 1927, the eldest daughter of Fritz and Frieda (Gruchot) Beil. Her career as a nursery teacher was interrupted during World War II when the Russians invaded her home town of Pyritz. The family later settled in Hamburg, Germany. Here Lilo met her future husband, Zygfryd. In 1949 they married and emigrated to the United States. She became a naturalized citizen in 1955. In her early years in the U.S. Lilo worked as a stitcher in various Lowell mills. She was employed for many years by the Honeywell Corporation as an inspector. For many years Lilo was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Chelmsford. In past years she was actively involved with the International Institute of Lowell and the German Cultural Club.

Besides her parents, Lilo was predeceased by her husband Zygggi, sister Ursula, and brother Heinz. Survivors include her daughters, Ursula and husband John Hill of Bellevue, Neb., Tina and wife Linda Lankowski of Haverhill, Lisa of Woburn, Susan of Methuen; brother, Hans and his wife Marie of Washington, Mich., sister, Val Kelleher of Dracut, and many beloved nieces and nephews.

ARRANGEMENTS: Lilo’s family will be receiving relatives and friends on Monday, October 15 from 4 to 8 p.m. at the H.L. Farmer & Sons Funeral Home, 106 Summer St., Haverhill.

Funeral services and burial will be private and at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to Hannah Duston Activities Fund, 126 Monument St., Haverhill, MA 01830. Arrangements are by the H.L.
