Sandown, N.H. — Lorraine C. Traficante, 80, of Sandown, N.H., died Sunday October 21 at Parkland Medical Center, Derry, N.H., surrounded by her loving family. Mrs. Traficante was born in Lowell on August 5, 1932, a daughter of the late Nicholas and Annette (Brodeur) Koravos.
She had resided in Sandown for the past 20 years, formerly of Salem, N.H. where she had lived for many years. Mrs. Traficante worked for many years for Store 24 in Lawrence and Salem. She attended St. Joseph’s Church in Salem. She was an avid ten pin bowler and a devout Red Sox and Patriots fan. She never missed an opportunity to watch or talk politics and sports.
She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Patrick A. Traficante of Sandown; three daughters, Judith A. Carney and her husband James of Barrington, N.H., Lynda M. Bloom and her husband Bryan of Lancaster, N.H., and Patricia A. Powers and her husband Richard of Ashby; one son, Kevin A. Traficante and his wife Angela of Derry; eight grandchildren; one great-grandchild; one sister, Eleanor Koravos of Lowell; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased in 2010 by her grandson, Korey P. Traficante.
ARRANGEMENTS: Calling hours will be on Thursday October 25 from 5 – 8 p.m. in the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 15 Birch St., Derry. Funeral services will be held on Friday at 9 a.m. in the funeral home. Burial will follow at 11 a.m. in the NH State Veteran’s Cemetery, Route 3, Boscawen, NH.
