Windham, NH — Douglas F. Watson, 82, of Windham, NH, passed away unexpectedly on October 20, 2012 at the Parkland Medical Center in Derry. Douglas was born, raised and educated in Lawrence. He was a graduate of Lawrence High School and went on to attend M.I.T. Douglas worked for his entire career at Western Electric where he retired as a supervisor in 1989. After his retirement he went on to work with the Security Department at Rockingham Park until 2008. He was a former member of the Salem V.F.W. as well as the Lawrence Elks and he was a devoted New England Sports Fan. Douglas is predeceased by his wife, Theresa (Novak) Watson. He leaves his children, Douglas Watson and his wife Kathleen of Windham, NH, Dean Watson and his wife Judith of Chester, NH and Debra Watson of Windham, grandchildren, Derek Connelly and his wife Jaclyn, Douglas Watson and his wife Christine and Daniel Watson and his fiancé Katie Snyder and a sister Isobel Crotch of Fairhaven, MA. and several cousins, nieces and nephews
ARRANGEMENTS: Family and friends are invited to call from 9 to 11 a.m. on Saturday, November 3rd at the Charles F. Dewhirst Funeral Home, 80 Broadway, Methuen. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Elmwood Cemetery, Methuen.
