Methuen — Dorothy (Ruediger) Carpenito, 75, of Methuen, passed away Tuesday, October 30, 2012 surrounded by her family after a lengthy battle with melanoma. She was born in Lawrence and was the daughter of the late Edwin and Gladys (Cooke) Ruediger of Methuen.
Dorothy was a graduate of Tenney High School in Methuen and was an avid artist and active member of the Merrimack Valley Art Association and the Salem N.H. Art Association. She loved cross country skiing and hiking.
Dorothy leaves behind a loving husband, Raymond, of 53 years; two sons, Daniel and his wife Laurie of Wilmington, N.C., and Kevin and his wife Karie of Wilmington; five wonderful grandchildren, Ashley Coble and husband Jeff, Rachael, Joshua, Olivia and Matthew; a beautiful great-granddaughter, Kathryn Coble; two brothers, Richard Ruediger and wife Gladys, and Frank Ruediger both of Methuen. Dorothy also leaves several nieces and nephews as well as brother and sister in laws, and wonderful friends.
ARRANGEMENTS: Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend visiting hours on Thursday, November 1, from 4 – 8 p.m. at the Cataudella Funeral Home, 126 Pleasant Valley St. Methuen. Funeral services will be Friday at 9:30 a.m. in the funeral home chapel. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Immaculate Conception Cemetery.
