Helen M. Cooper, 94

Methuen — Helen M. Cooper, 94, of Methuen died on Saturday September 28, 2013, at The Nevins Nursing Center, Methuen. Mrs. Cooper was born in Lawrence, and was raised in Methuen. She was a graduate of Edward F. Searles High School, and lived in Methuen all of her life. Helen was a member of the former First Methodist Church, Methuen, and was an active member of The Methuen Senior Center, where she taught knitting for many years. She was very fond of the summers that she spent with The Epworth League in Tilton, N.H.

The widow of Donald R. Cooper, her family members include her son, Donald E. and his wife, Linda Cooper of Fremont, N.H.; and her daughters, Barbara L. Haddad of Marietta, Ga., and Dorothy A. and her husband, John Zube of Derry, N.H.; her sister, Ethel and her husband, Raymond Proulx of Methuen; her grandchildren, Chase, Rachel, Donald II, Michael, and Michele; her great grandchildren, Donald, Sable and Jillian; and several nieces and nephews.

ARRANGEMENTS: Calling hours will be on Friday October 4, from 1 to 3 p.m., at The Charles F. Dewhirst Funeral Home, 80 Broadway, Methuen. Funeral services will be on Friday, at 3 p.m., at the funeral home.
